Letter in Morley Observer/Advertiser 17/1/07 In reply to Coun Grayshon’s letter on Jan 10, I have been actively telling Leeds City Council what I think the issues are since November 2006 – Coun Grayshon seems unaware of this. The questions I have raised are no different to the questions raised by others and members of the sports centre staff. The result of a brand new sports center will be a smaller centre with fewer facilities at a greater cost. It appears that Coun Grayshon has very little support, 70 percent of visitors to the Morley Observer website think the decision to knock down Morley Sports centre is wrong. Leeds City Council has decided to transfer its sport and active recreation service into a not for profit Trust. I do hope that when the Leeds Sports Trust comes into effect it is not the same people from LCC making the decisions. Nigel Bywater Airedale Terrace Morley
